Since 1994 the members of the Cape Fear Model Railroad Society have been coming together to share their talents and ideas and to keep the love of model railroads live in the North Carolina Atlantic Coast area. At public events throughout the area the society has set up miniature railroad displays on a scale that has amazed all who have visited them.

The society recognizes G, O, HO, On30, N, S, and Z scale.  From the novice just getting into model trains to experts with extensive garden railroads, the society is one of the most diversified model railroad organizations in the United States. Members come in all shapes and sizes, ethnic backgrounds, and walks of life. Each of them brings something special to the group.

The Cape Fear Model Railroad Society is a disability friendly organization. We welcome anyone with a love for model trains, and we will find a place for you to actively participate with us.

Model railroading brings about fellowship, teaches intricate skills, encourages community-minded spirit, and helps to preserve history while fulfilling dreams. It brings young and old, rich and poor, and people of all backgrounds together in a place where they can share the best of their natural gifts and knowledge.

Geared towards adult model railroaders, we encourage sharing the thrill of model railroading with everyone.
